CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2024 Ram 1500- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and be showing you how to install the CIPA custom fit towing mirrors on our 2024 Ram 1500. Now the main feature here is that these are custom fit. All the plastics are gonna be custom molded to fit around the different shapes and contours of your Ram and it gives you a pretty solid fit overall. But one thing to note about this one compared to some other options like the ones from Longview or K-Source is that our RAM has turn signals on the factory mirrors and those different towing mirrors had cutouts so you could still see them, whereas this is one solid piece. You're gonna lose those features on your Ram if you have them. more

So the big thing here is that these are custom fit, which just means all the plastic is custom molded to match the shape of your mirror. Anywhere where you've got factory blinkers or puddle lights on the bottom, you've got these cutouts and windows so you can still see them from your factory mirror, both on the front and on the bottom. So you can still have those factory features while having the towing mirror on. more

Longview Slip On Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2024 Ram 1500- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Longview Custom Fit Towing Mirrors on our 2024 Ram 1500. So the main feature here is that these are custom fit, which means all the plastic is custom molded to go around the mirror of your Ram. And there's some special cutouts like here for our turn signals, so you don't have to sacrifice that feature on your mirrors and other drivers can still see what you're doing. It's a pretty simple installation too, just wrapping around the mirror with this lip here and clamping onto the edge on the inside. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CIPA Custom Fit Towing Mirrors for the driver and passenger side on our 2022 Ram 1500. This is going to be a custom fit towing mirror giving us the smoothest transition and the most similar to a factory fit. It's got just one hand knob and a wedge holding it in place and it just slides over the existing factory mirror. It gives a very clean look and it's also going to be very stable. more

You can see it's nice and large and they sort of use all the contours that came here to give you the best visibility possible. Now, this is a flat plane surface here. It's not convex or concave and it's very easy to adjust to your specific trailer and needs. Just simply take your finger there. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the K Source custom towing mirrors here on our 2021 Ram 1500. So this is what our towing mirror is gonna look like installed on our vehicle. So this actually is specifically contour to the shape of our factory mirror. With a lot of the universal towing mirrors that use those little bulky straps that go around there and although they will fit every vehicle, they don't necessarily fit everyone well. With a custom fit towing mirror like we have here, as we said, everything is specifically contoured to the shape of the factory mirror. And this not only makes for the best overall appearance, it's also gonna make for the tightest fit. more

So these are what our towing mirrors look like installed on the vehicle here. Now in regards to the actual material, it's gonna be that textured black finish that's very commonly used on these vehicles, especially the side mirrors. So it is gonna blend in really well. Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the CIPA Custom Fit towing mirrors here on our 2021 Ram 1500. So towing mirrors are a great addition to your truck here if you find yourself to be towing frequently. Now obviously they're gonna extend our field of view, but two situations that I particularly find that to be most useful in is when you're driving on the highway, chances are when you're pulling your trailer you're not quite traveling at most normal highway speeds such as other traffic. Therefore vehicles are gonna come up on you quite fast, and you may need to get over to get your exit. And it's really just kinda hard to judge how fast those vehicles are going if they're in your blind spot or if you can get over and in time. It really is not a comfortable feeling when you have it towing a trailer, especially if you're not comfortable with it, if you don't tow often. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2018 Ram 1500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the K-Source universal-fit towing mirrors. Whenever we use a towing mirror, what it's gonna do is really help broaden our field of view, so we're gonna be able to see a lot better. So just to kind of give you an example of that. As you can see, I am visible in the towing mirror, but not in our factory mirror. That said, though, if I take a few steps closer over to our camper here, I'll disappear out of the towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror. more

Adam: What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer today, we have a 2020 Ram 1500, and we're going to be taking a look at the snap and zap K-Source custom fit towing mirrors. So if you have a Ram 1500, these are going to be the best mirrors, in my opinion, they fit really, really well, and they really look good too. As you can tell, we do have a somewhat similar finish to them. So it kind of blends in, kind of looks somewhat OEM. I kind of like that and it also, we're not going to lose the function of our turn signals. So we have a little clear lens here and on the side. more

Adam: What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the SEPA Universal Towing Mirrors on our 2020 Ram 1500. There's no need to worry about damage happening to our existing mirrors. We have these nice, soft, yet durable, rubber straps. So it's going to give a good grip, but not scuff up the finish on our mirrors. We're going to get a rather large mirror and it's going to be a flat mirror, so it's not going to be concaved or convexed and we are going to be able to tilt it right, left, up and down. more

A towing mirror is really going to expand our field of view, and that can be especially useful whenever we're making lane changes, backing up into a tight parking spot, or just wanting to keep a closer eye on what's going on behind us. Especially with this one, the smaller mirror on the outside of the towing mirror is really going to let us see what's happening far from our truck. And if I take a step a little bit closer to our trailer, I'll then become visible in the larger towing mirror; that'll help us, especially whenever we're just kind of cruising down the highway and wanting to see what's going on. And then if I take a step closer to our trailer, I've disappeared out of the towing mirror, completely and become visible in our factory mirror. more

Today on our 2018 Ram 1500 we're going to we're going to be installing CIPA's custom towing mirrors. So as you can see here, I'm clearly visible in our factory mirror but as I take a step towards the outside I'm no longer visible in the factory mirror but I can clearly be seen in our towing mirror. This is particularly useful when merging onto the highway, changing lanes and in tight parking lot maneuvers.This mirror's going to be custom fit for your Ram. It's simply going to slide over the housing and it's going to transition in nice and seamless making it look like it was supposed to be there. When it's installed your mirrors can still be adjusted fully on both the factory mirror and on your towing mirror. And while they're installed the breakaway mirror function will still work without contacting the body.What sets this apart from other towing mirrors is that the black textured finish matches seamlessly with you existing trim. more

CIPA Clamp on Universal Fit Towing Mirror Installation - 2017 Ram 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ram 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CIPA universal fit towing mirror.Here ate the back of the trailer, you can see we have plenty of visibility in our factory mirror. But if we step outside, we lose that visibility in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror. Now this is going to help when changing lanes or passing on a multiple lane highway and also parking in tight spaces.The towing mirror housing is going to be constructed of a durable plastic, similar to the plastic housing that is on your factory towing mirror. The rod itself is going to have a black powder coat finish so it's going to resist corrosion. This mirror's going to offer you a full swivel from side to side and up and down and you can also turn it to extend your view.Another great thing about this mirror is even though you can turn this and extend your view, you can actually extend it even more for a trailer that might be just a little bit wider. If you unscrew this, you can slide this bar out, tighten it down, and it gives you an even wider view.Your two brackets are going to be constructed of a plastic so you're not gonna have to worry about damaging or scarring up your factory housing and then the rubber feet are going to help clamp the mirror down to your factory mirror.Even with these mirrors clamping in between your mirror and your housing, you still have full adjustability of your mirror itself. more

K-Source Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2014 Ram 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Ram 1500 we're going to be taking a look at the K Source snap and zap custom towing mirrors for the driver and passenger side, part number KS80710. So, here I am at the back of my trailer and you can clearly see me in the factory mirror but, if I step away you're going to lose track of me. But, that's where our towing mirrors are going to come into play. It's going to give us a wider field of view for a safer trip down the highway when we need to change lanes, or possibly even just back our trailer up or, even going up to the camp grounds.What you're really going to like about this mirror set is, is that when you have them on they're going to look completely factory. It's even going to have that cut out for your puddle lamp and if you don't have one like ours here, it's going to blend in nicely with the black plastic on your factory mirror.Now, our tow mirror over on the side is going to be fully adjustable to be able to get that perfect angle going down the road. And, whether we're parking, or just any kind of close quarters situations, we're still going to be able to fold our mirror in without having to worry about removing the tow mirror. more

This is your flat mirror, which is more like your factory mirror, and this one is convex, to give you a bit more of a wide view for spotting. The clamps go in between you mirror and the housing. So you'll still get adjustment of your factory mirror. The universal ratcheting design will allow it to fit on multiple different vehicles.So if you have another truck, or you get a new truck, you can still use your mirrors. more

Today on our 2016 RAM 1500 we're going to be doing a test fit on the CIPA Dual View Clip On Towing Mirror, part number 11953. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. Between both the larger and the smaller mirror you get the same picture, just a slightly more clear and closer view in the larger one. If I take a few steps in towards my trailer, you can see there's no blind spot by the way we have it set up, but this is the view you'd get with just your factory mirror. Today in our 2012 Ram 1500 we're going to be taking a look at the K Source Snap and Zap Custom Towing Mirrors for the driver and passenger side. Part number is KS80710. Now we've come out and backed up to a trailer here just to give you an idea of the field of view difference that you can expect from your towing mirrors. You'll see back here at the back corner, it's about a 14-foot trailer, so we start to step out, we've got plenty of room there in that factory mirror until we get to about this location. That's where that custom mirror is going to take over. It's going to allow us to really see out here quite a bit further. As we're trying to turn in tighter quarters, camping sites, things like that, we won't have to stick our head out the window or really get turned around to see, be able to see it in that mirror and navigate safely. Now we're her in the back of about a 14 foot trailer. We've got it hooked up to the back of the Ram. We just wanted to give you an idea of the field of view difference that you can expect. As you can see, the factory mirror does a pretty good job for a normal everyday kind of situations, but that towing mirror is really going to help out with that trailer when it starts swinging back here behind the vehicle. more
